Since we are visibly different and our faces reveal our soul, I paint portraits. I treasure honoring nature with paint and a brush. Something magical happens as a subject's inner spirit emerges onto a canvas. Viewing a portrait painting can be an opportunity to slow down, open social and emotional walls, to know and feel a subject's essence and experience a genuine connection with them.
I found portraiture through years of travel, drawing, painting, and study plus, influences such as Renoir, Warhol, Alex Katz and my artist father, who, when I was only two, gave me drawing materials and an ongoing passion for knowledge, for art, for life. As a portrait painter, my goal is sensitivity to your needs while imparting your individuality to create a portrait that will be cherished now and for generations to come.
From 2012 both my conceptual and commissioned portraits have received numerous awards and since 2015, have had 7 solo exhibitions. Currently, they are in private collections the U.S., Brazil, Canada, Denmark, and Dubai.
